I’m excited to send this blog out to everyone, coming tonight and making their first appearance at the Sandbar is none other than the Magnificents!  These guys are from Burlington and received New Group of the Year at the 2007 Carolina Beach Music Awards.  Trust me in saying if you have’nt seen these guys do yourself a favor and be at the Sandbar tonight, doors opening at seven with the Little Man of Beach Music spinning the best in Beach!  Members get in for $8 and Guests for $12, memberships are only $5!  This is going to be a great night and we would love for you to be there.  Don’t forget about the drink specials, the new pool tables and the Mega-touch machine (you know the one my wife is always sitting at).  It’s Friday and let’s start the week-end off right with the Magnificents at the Sandbar!

This Wed. Night it’s the Mid-Week Party at the Sandbar and I am looking forward to it!  We always have a great time playing request and laying it down on the dance floor.  Folks if you have’nt attended this weekly event, come this week and you will see how relaxed and friendly the atmosphere is with the best drink specials and your favorite shag songs.  Also the Sandbar has opened up to smoking with a non smoking area and added three brand new pool tables.  This is a great way tho be in the environment you like and take a break during the middle of the week.  See ya there, doors open at 7:00.

Yes you read it right, tonight at the Oasis Oyster Bar the Little Man of Beach Music will switch gears for one night for an OLD SKOOL HIP HOP PARTY!  Everyone is back in town for the holidays and it’s time to get together and hear the music we grew up to in the clubs and at house party’s.  I’m looking forward to it and I hope to see you there!  Remember come early and enjoy dinner at the Sandpiper or have the famous oysters at the Oasis!  Keep your receipt from dinner and you get in free!

First of all……..HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.  I love this time of the year and so does Buddy (that’s my pop belly, since I carry him around every where I go, clothe him and feed him, I figured I name him).  TONIGHT!!!! Pre Thanksgiving Party at the Sandbar with non other than Jim Quick and Coastline.  It’s going to be good folks!!  No work tomorrow so come and dance tonight.  Doors open at Seven with yours truly spinning the tunes and then it’s, “COASTLINE TIME”.  See you there!

When I say it’s Coastline Time, I mean it’s Coastline Time!  The Sandbar is laying it out this week!   First of all, before I give you the details, you’ve been reading about some changes being made at the Sandbar and they have taken place.  The Little Man Of Beach Music is going to continue to play the Mid-Week Party and I’m doing it solo style.  The bands have been moved to Friday or Saturday nights with a TBA schedule.  I started playing solo two weeks ago and the crowd is getting bigger.  I play all your shag request and line dances.  This is a great time to practice and enjoy yourself.  Members get in for $2.00 and Guest for $5.00.  Thirsty Thursdays are still on schedule with CHEAP drink prices and Friday’s are to TBA.  The Sandbar has installed a huge projector screen with all the college and professional games, several pool tables and the club has been opened to smoking with a non smoking section.  Yes we are still going to have the best in beach, but as I heard the other night from one of the owners, “the Sandbar is a Beach Club with a sports bar attitude”.  These changes are for the better folks and It’s going to be great.  The beach music community needs to support this club, for it is one of the best giving us what we want!  Tell all your friends and come out and see on Wed. nights.  I also want you to express your thoughts and make them known.  We want you to be a part of the club and look forward to coming.  So click on the yellow box in the right hand corner of this blog and leave me any suggestions that you may have and I will be glad to respond.  Let’s pull together and show our support not only for the Sandbar, but for Carolina Beach Music.

Alright, COASTLINE Saturday night with the Little Man of Beach Music!  I’m telling you the energy level is going to be through the roof with the band coming off a sweep at the Carolina Beach Music Awards weekend!  And I am glad to announce it’s going to be a double header, that’s right this Sunday, November the 18th Coastline is in the house at the Sandbar again for a Sunday of Beach Music.  The Johnston Area Shag Club will help in opening the doors at 2:00 with a meet and greet with great food and the band will go on around 4:00.  What a weekend!  If you would like to catch both shows (how could you not) and stay over night call Steve at the Sandbar and he will give you some great locations for hotels close by.  You can always click on the Sandbar website on my home page and get the number and all the information. 

I will post again tomorrow about the one of a kind event coming up know as the Wall To Wall Christmas Ball December the 20th.   If you have never been you really don’t know what you’re missing.  I have tickets for sale in the amount of $15.00 in advance.  The ticket will be $20.00 at the door so click on the yellow box in the upper right hand corner leave me your information and I will contact you for your advance tickets. 

This Friday Night is The Oasis Oyster Bar and it’s my birthday, come out and help us celebrate.  Come early and enjoy a great dinner at the Oasis or the Sandpiper and then shag, shag, shag!  Look forward to seeing you!

Let Me Start By Saying ……………… WOW what a weekend!  The 2007 Carolina Beach Music Awards was huge success, bigger and better!  It was good to see so many familiar faces and of course so many new faces.  The academy gets stronger every year.  As Terri Gore said from stage during the Industry Awards show, “it’s like a big family reunion” and it was just that.  I’m sad to say I did’nt bring home the Awards but I want to say congratulations to Chad Sain for Club and Mobile DJ of the year and Charlie Brown for AM DJ of the year, no to better people could have won.  I also want to say a huge thank you to Chad Sain for all his support, I love Ya Bro!  I also had a great time playing at Fat Harold’s Beach Club Friday and Saturday night with Coastline, Gary Bass, Holiday and Ray Scott.  The club was packed and I appreciate everyone coming and hanging out with us.  IT’S COASTLINE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and it was COASTLINE TIME, congratulations to Jim Quick and Coastline for ALL their awards, they truly deserve it!  I hear you K-Dogg!  Jim the poem could not have been better!  Congratulations also to Bo The Web Guy for his award, Bo you the MAN!  I enjoyed seeing all the artist and hearing some great new music including Tommy Black singing his new song, “Lolita” at the Industry Awards.  Tommy’s back and sounds better than ever.  I tip my hat to the Carpenter Family for all the hard work and to sum it up………………………..everybody…..RUB THE ROCK!!!!!!  You’ll know all about that very soon!!!

Alright, we’re back in Clinton and the party continues.  This Wed. it’s the MID-WEEK Party at the Sandbar.  It’s yours truly the Little Man Of Beach Music is in the house!  Doors open at seven and and we go until!  I know there’s been a lot of rumors about the Sandbar so I’m going to try to clear some of it up for you.  There has been some changes made but Sandbar is still open and getting stronger by the week!  Come out this Wed. and see some of the changes and continue to support my favorite spot, THE SANDBAR! 

This Friday it’s the Third Friday of the month and we’re celebrating my birthday at the OASIS OYSTER BAR!  I’ll be starting the music at 9:00 and Everybody’s going to be there.  Bring your shag shoes, your appetite and your thirst!  Let’s blow it out and have a great time.  It’s all your request and your favorites at the Oasis Oyster Bar!

Then back to SANDBAR Saturday night with non other that the Group of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Blues Song of the Year, Song Writer of the Year, Entertainer of the Year,  Live Production of the Year the list goes on and on………………..IT’S COASTLINE TIME at the SANDBAR!  You most definitely don’t want to miss this show!!!!  It’s going to be packed and the energy level through the roof!  Doors open at seven and I would suggest to come early.  We gonna party!!!!!!!

Alright, let me take a deep breath and start………………..This week, It’s the Carolina Beach Music Awards at North Myrtle Beach!  The event begins this Thursday and ends late, late in the early hours of Monday morning.  I always look forward to this weekend because there is so much going on.  Saturday at the OD Resort will be the Industry Awards and I am excited to be nominated for AM DJ of the year and Club and Mobile DJ of the year.  Again Thank You to everyone who put me on the ballot.  I will be playing in the back room of Fat Harold’s Friday and Saturday night starting around 7:00.  Friday night in the front room will be Jim Quick and Coastline and Saturday night the Holiday Band.  Then of course Sunday is the Awards Show and Sunday night is the legendary after party.  What a great weekend, folks if you are not a member of the Carolina Beach Music Awards get all the information this weekend and sign up.  Then you will a part of the voting process and receive many discounts and special rates.  I will also have the, “Little Man Of Beach Music” T-Shirts for sale, if you don’t have one of the hottest t-shirts in the industry this is your chance!

Then back to Clinton for the birthday celebration!  Who’s birthday?  MINE, hey I’m getting younger!  I will be playing on my birthday at the Oasis Oyster Bar for the third Friday of the month Beach Night!  I invite everyone out for a great time.  We move the tables back for the shag floor and play the best in beach, rhythm and blues!  Let’s pack it out and do it right.  Look forward to seeing you there, come help me celebrate my birthday!

Everybody loves Thanksgiving!  We all have so much to be thankful for!  This is one of my favorite times of the year, because I love Family and food!  And I also love the Annual Turkey Party at the Regency, formally Club Faces!  I DJ this party every year and it is a blow out.  Jim Quick and Coastline will be in the house and the party is like no other!  Come out and join us folks, it’s a great way to relax after the big meal.
