Yes it’s that time again and I can’t wait.  Shag Night at the Oasis in Clinton is one of the best nights of the month!!!!!!!!!!  Come out and enjoy some of the best food around.  The Oasis or the Sandpiper has the best steaks, pork chops and seafood of anywhere you can go!!  Then at 9:00 we move the tables back and play the best in beach, rhythm and blues and yes we even play line dances.  We always have a great crowd and we’re looking for one this Friday.  We’re asking anyone who loves the shag to come and support us.  Oasis has been kind enough to provide us a place to dance once a month and this is where we need the shaggers to support what we love.  So I look forward to seeing you and tell everyone you know.  We would love to see some new faces.  If you are coming from out of town and need directions feel free to call me 910-385-7424 and I will lead you in.  See you there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Pre-Party was just added to the 2nd Annual Triangle Beach Spring Fling on Thursday Night in the Back Room at Fat Harold’s and now to even better the weekend we’ve added something new!! By now everyone has probably heard of www.southernsoul.com this is a brand new website from Keith Houston of KHP Music. This site has just started and is still under construction but is up for everyone to sign in and be a member. There are going to be so many interesting opportunities on the site including some great beach music shows for you to log on and listen to. On Friday the 28th starting at 3:00 and going until 6:00 Keith Huston along with T&R Baxstage productions have put in place a VIP HOSPITALITY SUIT for all the guest to visit upon arrival, learn more about southernsoul.com and enjoy your favorite drinks. Well as you all know we’re traveling down to North Myrtle Beach the end of this month for the 2nd annual Triangle Beach Spring Fling at the OD Resort.  I have some new news for you and I just found out a few minutes ago.  THURSDAY MARCH 27th WE ARE THROWING A PRE- PARTY TO THE SPRING FLING STARTING AT 9:00 IN THE BACK ROOM AT FAT HAROLD’S.  This is absolutely free and open to anyone, whether you have booked your rooms or not.  So if you just plan on buying weekend passes you are still invited to this party.  Your’s truly will be spinning the tunes and we’RE planning to kick the weekend off right.  So make plans to be there and join us.  The weekend passes are $50.00, this will get you in at the OD Club to see Band of Oz on Friday night, Pool Party by the ocean and food on Saturday with he Little Man of Beach Music and Jim Quick and Coastline on Saturday night.  Also, if you can only make it for Friday or only make it for Saturday T&R Baxstage Productions have broken down the prices for you as follows:

Listen folks, I’m telling you the Lighthouse in Rocky Mount is one of the nicest facilities I have played in.  Come and check it out and see for yourself.  Last night was my first time playing there and I was very impressed.  The hospitality was great and I felt right at home.  The dance floor is huge and atmosphere is great.  I will be playing there the first Thursday of every month and remainder of the month the Lighthouse has DJ Jay Jenkins who is one of the best in the business and the top beach music bands on circuit.  This coming Thursday is non other than the Holiday Band live on stage.  So come out and see us and enjoy the Lighthouse.  Just wanted to add it was great seeing Curtis and Karen, Chris and Karen, Darrell Nix and Mr. & Mrs. Hux.  See you in Rocky Mount!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW it’s been busy!!!  I don’t even know where to start!  DJ Throwdown, here we go……What a weekend we had.  It was great seeing so many people and the music spoke for itself!  I had, like always the best time playing at my favorite spot, FAT HAROLD’S Beach Club.  I played Saturday from 5-9 and let me tell you, the Back Room (Family Room) at Harold’s was jumping!  It was great  seeing so many members of the Sugar Britches Shag Club, “the Clinton Crowd” and my favorite bartender in the world Ms. Brenda!  Thank you, to everyone that was there for your support!!  Rebecca and I left out of NMB early Sunday Morning and joined Chad Sain, Gary Smith, Peter Carpenter, Gary Bass and a stage full of talent at Thirsty’s Two for the Big John Thompson Benefit.  WOW what a turn out.  Just want to say thank you to everyone who attended and help raise so much money.  Chad Sain you the man!!!!  What a great job you did and what can I say about the bands and performers.  Everyone pulled together and put on one unforgettable show!! 

There has been so much music come out here of late.  I wanted to take a minute and mention one of these songs that debuted at Throwdown.  SHADOW SHAGGIN by Tommy Black.  Folks, the VOICE is back and brought a number one hit with him.  Let me know what you think when you here it for the first time.  Congrats Tommy!!!!

The big event is almost here.  I’m talking about the second annual Triangle Beach Spring Fling at the OD Resort at North Myrtle Beach.  March 28th and 29th T&R Baxstage Productions, Band of Oz, Jim Quick and Coastline and myself are going to bring the spring in right with one of the biggest parties of the year.  T&R Baxstage Productions always does it right and there is still time for you to make you reservations.  Just go to www.trianglebeachspringfling.com and follow the instructions on the site.  Trust me don’t miss this one and for the folks who just want to come to the events there are passes for that also.

Once again it’s Oasis time, and we want you in the house!!!  It’s always the third friday of the month at the Oasis Oyster bar located right here in Clinton, NC.  This is a great time to come out enjoy a great dinner at Oasis or the Sandpiper (located directly in front of the Oasis) and then dance the night away to the best in Beach, Rhythm and Blues.  We move all the tables back at 9:00 and make room for the exclusive dance floor of Clinton.  I enjoy delivering beach music to my home town once a month and I don’t want you to miss it.  I always hear, “there is no place to dance” well folks here it is!  OASIS OYSTER BAR SHAG NIGHT.  And always remember, if you have a need to rent a facitlity for a private engagement or even have an event catered contact Beth or Keith at the Oasis Oyster Bar and they will accomidate your every need.  THIS I PROMISE!!!!!  If you are reading this and you are from out of town, call me at 910-385-7424 for directions!!! Hello folks it’s good to back on the Website and informing you to what’s happening new with the, “Little Man Of Beach Music”.  Here we go, the Lighthouse in Rocky Mount as added yours truly to their packed schedule.  It is confirmed that I will be spinning the tunes the first Thursday of every month at the Lighthouse.  Do yourself a favor and go to www.thelighthousesportsbar.comcheck out this facility and schedule of events.  WOW this is a nice establishment, I can’t wait to play there and see all my friends for Rocky Mount and I asking everyone to come out anf enjoy.  Hip Pocket is going to be on stage at the Lighthouse tonight February the 8th and on Sunday February the 17th.  The entertainment the Lighthouse provides is second to none, so add this to you calender and I look forward to seeing you there. 

Don’t forget DJ Throwdown is coming up in North Myrtle Beach the end of February and I will be playing the Back Room (the Family Room) at the Legendary Fat Harold’s on March the 1st 5 until 9.  This is always a great weekend and I looking forward to being there.

It’s official, the Super Bowl Party plans have been made and the party is on.  The Sandbar is doing it again, this time with the New York Giants, New England Patriots, Jim Quick and Coastline, the “Little Man Of Beach Music”, the huge projector screen, pool tables and all the food you can eat!  And don’t forget, as always the best beer and drink specials anywhere!  Here’s the details…………Doors open at 1:00 with the best in beach shag and your request from your’s truly, then Coastline takes the stage at 2:30 playing three sets up to 5:00 (with your’s truly playing the breaks of coarse)!  There will be food all day long but the pizza, wings and all that Super Bowl snacks that is a tradition will be served at 5:00.  Pre show and big game, oh yeah on the huge screen comes up next!  Here’s the best part, admission for all day is only $20.00.  Do something different, come out enjoy the Best in Beach Music, great food, the cheapest beer in town and the Big Game on the Big Screen.  Now yes we have even considered the fact you may can only make it for the food and the game and not the pre party.  If so members get in for $10.00 and guest get in for $14.00.  As you know these Sunday parties are laid back and relaxed, come comfortable, wear your favorite team colors and oh yeah come thirsty.  All and all it’s a great deal for everyone and we would love to have you for game day!  Let me know if you any questions and let’s pack it out.
